Namesake of U of SC's Arnold school of Public fitness has died

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

the person for whom the institution of South Carolina's Arnold faculty of Public fitness is termed has died. The tuition announced the loss of life of Norman J. Arnold on its web website. 

The Charleston native changed into dedicated to improving public cardiovascular health after his father, Ben, died of a heart attack in 1963. He and his spouse donated $10 million to the school of South Carolina to set up an endowment for the school of Public health, which now bears his name.

Arnold additionally served on the providence clinic Board of Trustees and the Board of the scientific school of South Carolina Cardiovascular Institute for research and Prevention.
